The 2015-16 season saw the West Virginia Mountaineers finish
with a 26-9 overall record and finished as runner-up in the Big 12
regular season standings at 13-5. The Mountaineers lost to Kansas in
the Big 12 Tournament. West Virginia lost in the first round of the
NCAA Tournament to Stephen F. Austin 70-56 to end the year.
This season, West Virginia will play in the 2016-17 NIT Season
Tip-Off November 20th through 28th. They will also travel to #7
Virginia on December 3rd. The Mountaineers will face Texas A & M on
January 28th in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
WVU will face
ranked Big 12 Conference foe #2 Kansas January 24th at home and in
Lawrence on February 13th. On January 14th the Mountaineers will
visit #22 Texas and will host them on February 20th.
Other conference
games include Oklahoma, Iowa State, Baylor, Texas Tech, Kansas
State, Oklahoma State and TCU.
The
Big 12 Conference Tournament will be held March 8 through
March 11 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
